CHRIS GROVES & LARRY MOOREDesign & Composition CHRIS GROVES & LARRY MOORE
What makes a great painting tick? Is it the content or the color? It’s deeper than that. The foundation of a strong painting is in its design and composition. Learn the components of powerful compositions: eye flow, hierarchy, dynamic symmetry, weight/counterweight, activating edges, color theory, intent and juxtaposition from two guys who are really pretty good at it. While they both have different approaches and styles, the outcome is always a strong painting. Both will demo each day and provide insight and exercises to bolster your approach. Oil, acrylic or gouache. All levels are welcome but a little knowledge on how to mix color will help.
